Wonderful voices coming from afar!
In a German silver city named Rostok on the Baltic Sea, there is a theater where an Albanian soprano prepares to sing. It seems less well known in Albania than in Germany. She is Migena Gjata. After the success of her debut in the Johann Strauss comedy “Una notte a Venezia”, she was given the role of Solvejg by the Norwegian composer Edward Grig.
Contacted by Opusalb, Migena explains that: Later Iz will be a recital in Düsseldorf, on the anniversary of the great poet Heinrich Heine at the Institute of the same name. The program will contain Lieder from his great contemporaries, such as R. Schumann, Clara Schumann, G. Meyerbeer, F. Mendelsohn..etj … “
It is always a pleasure for us to listen about the confident and successful steps of our artists wherever they are, in the hope that we will be able to listen her here in Albania, despite the country’s cultural policies that are unable to think enough for them.
