Valton Beqiri’s work presented in Vienna
Today (Tuesday) on September 19, 2017, the composer Valton Beqiri will be present in Vienna attending the solemn concert “World Peace Concert in Vienna 2017” and shall be manifesting his creativity. This concert marks the 10 year anniversary of the foundation of the “Balkan Camerale Orchestra” and will be executed under the direction of the Japanese conductor, Toshio Yanagisawa. In this concert the French pianist, Pacal Roge, will be performing as a solosit. We shall be following the execution of various pieces of famous composers of the Romantic Period such as Camille Saint-Saëns and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky as well as pieces of the well-known Japanese composer, Kaoru Wada. Furthermore, an inseparable part of the repertoire of this orchestra has also become the creative opus of well-known composer, Valton Beqiri.
An important piece would be that of the “Shpirti i traditës, Albanian for Spirit of Tradition) written for arch-form orchestra and percussion which has been interpreted and executed by this orchestra in different places of the world since 2010 and today it is known as the anthem of the Balkan Camerale Orchestra and at the same time has been qualified as the best promotion of our cultural inheritance. It is a program divided in four categories each featuring titles that shall give us full coverage of our history through musical sounds.
This work is now known as the most internationally-interpreted work, of course if we were to compare the presentation of the creativity of other Albanian composers of artistic music in the recent years. In this concert, in addition to the aforementioned work, Beqiri is also presented as orchestrator of the work “Kanki-no-Uta” (world premiere) on the theme of the well-known Japanese composer and singer, Koji Tamaki. Valton Beqiri is known for his unrivaled affinity in music and in terms of his creative style, however impressionist and expressionist (stylistically) he might be, he always pays great importance to the use our folkloric motifs by mixing and melting them together in his creative invention.
The concert will be held at the Wienner Konzerthaus Mozart-saal, at 19:30
