The Edinburgh Festival in Scotland is open

The Edinburgh International Festival 2019 opened with a spectacular concert from the Los Angeles Philharmonic and conductor Gustavo Dudamel, celebrating the Golden Age of Hollywood.

Taking place in Edinburgh’s Tynecastle Park, this free concert was performed in front of an audience of 15,000 people.

The concert features a selection of film music favourites – including a selection of works by the brilliant composer John Williams.

The Edinburgh International Festival is an annual festival of performing arts in Edinburgh, Scotland, over three weeks in August. By invitation from the Festival Director, the International Festival brings top class performers of music (especially classical music), theatre, opera and dance from around the world to perform. The festival also hosts a series of visual art exhibitions, talks and workshops.
