Specialist’s opinion on the opera in Vlora…
On Friday, in the city of Vlora, the journey of “Traviata” – opera with three acts by Italian composer G. Verdi, under the interpretation of the troupe of the National Theater of Opera and Ballet came to an end.
The displacement of the Opera Theater crew outside the capital, can be called an innovation. This was bringing a great interest to the public and local media in the districts. Given the fact that the Opera Theater has already begun reconstruction, for a long time we will be able to see performances in the scenes of different cities.
A positive aspect of this shift is the approach of the public of other cities with this genre and the creation of the opportunity to closely follow an Opera such as “Traviata” for those people who did not have the opportunity to be part of the capital city public. The audience of Vlora is of a musical tradition, welcoming the event and paying special attention to it. This event used to have the support of Municipality and the local media.
“Traviata” found a benevolent public and numerous in number public in Vlora. In fact, there are already months in the coastal city that are conducting diverse cultural activities, and public interest has always been growing, filling the theater hall “Petro Marko”.
Traviata was such an example of what mentioned above.
The audience applauded this event under the direction of Magdalena Fuchsberger with conductor Edmond Doko, with the protagonist: Eva Golemi – dynamic in the role of Violetta, Armaldo Kllogjeri – in the role of Alfredo, Ylber Gjini – in the role of Giorgio Germont who together with the orchestra, choir and ballet troupe performed a special evening!
We need to stress that the shift of Opera and Ballet crew to other cities can improve of the conditions of other theaters for a better realization of large dimension genres such as the opera itself is! In the future the public of our cities will be more attentive to the artistic details of the show.
So another important aspect is the spread of culture, avoiding concentration of artistic and cultural activities only in the capital!
