Yuri Temirkanov conducts a concert in Santa Cecilia

 Maestro Yuri Temirkanov returns to Santa Cecilia with the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra for a concert devoted to two giants of Russian music: Tchaikovsky and Prokofiev. The Philharmonic of St. Petersburg will be the violinist Sayaka Shoji. The concerts will be held at the Parco della Musica Auditorium on May 16 at 20.30 and Friday, May 17, at 20.30 and Saturday, on the 18th. The first will be concert works for the violin and the orchestra with the Japanese violin Sayaka Shoji. From Prokofiev is in the Symphony program no. 5. Termirkanov has led the main European orchestras, including: Berliner Philharmoniker, Wiener Philharmoniker, Dresden Staatskapelle, London Philharmonic Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and Santa Cecilia’s National Academy Orchestra, whose honorary director it is.
