Tenor Saimir Pirgu tonight at the Zürcher Opernhaus

The internationally well-known Albanian tenor Saimir Pirgu will perform tonight at the “Zyrih Opera” stage at Puçini’s premiere  “Madama Butterfly”. Saimiri in this great work of opera will play the role of Pinkerton. With this role Saimir Pirgu is not only enriching his artistic life but also challenges himself. In the conception of the director of this show, Huffmann, the character performed by the Albanian tenor, is more understandable for the time. On the eve of this show, on December 7, the famous Swiss newspaper “Tages Anzeiger” has published an article about this show highlighting the profile of the well-known tenor. The article holds the title “A Happy Tenor” and states, among other things, that the tenor himself has not preferred unsympathetic characters and that this is the first time for Pinkerton’s role in “Madama Butterfly.” The newspaper notes that Saimir’s dream has begun since he was 13 when watching Italian television and when saw the concert of three tenors. He started singing and 10 years later that time, he was on stage with one of three tenors, Placido Domingo in “Opera Metropolitan “of New York.
