The italian tenor Vittorio Grigolo is suspended from the show
Metropolitan Opera has suspended renowned Italian tenor Vittorio Grigolo. It happened on the same day with Placido Domingo, who withdrew after 51 years of co-operation over allegations of harassment by some women. Grigolo, considered a star at the Met Opera, was suspended following an investigation by London’s Royal Opera House that decided to remove him temporarily after an episode last week when the London theater was touring Japan. Grigolo has touched a chorus during a finale in front of audiences and other artists. The Royal Opera House took note of the incident and decided to replace the tenor immediately after the tour in Japan, replacing it with a Russian tenor Georgy Vasiliev.
