Sanremo 2020, three Albanians at the Italian Song Festival
There are three Albanians participating in this Sanremo Festival: Ermal Meta, Dua Lipa and Alketa Vejsiu.
Ermal Meta is a participant in this edition as the author of the song “La faccia e il cuore” that was sung on the first night by Gessica Notaro and Antonio Maggio.
In the song written by Ermal one immediately feels his art in the first notes. Ermal manages to denounce phenomena that disturb society through music and verses.
The song conveys a strong message: the one against violence against women. Jessica Notaro was the guest of honor of Sanremo’s first night.Former Miss Italy finalist Jessica Notaro turned to media news when she was attacked by an ex-boyfriend with acid on her face, even endangering her eyesight. The event took place in January 2017.But it did not stop and become a symbol of man’s struggles with adversity. As a mark of appreciation for her resistance, President Matarella honored Jessica with the title of Cavalier of Honor of the Italian Republic.
Sanremo’s second guest is Dua Lipa. The music star who is also celebrating the release of her third album of the new album, is coming to Sanremo with the status of international guest artist. The Albanian artist will sing Friday night.
The Albanian singer, already a splendor of international music, comes to Sanremo to convey her artistic dimension. Elle magazine described Dua as “the future of pop music”.
And the third guest at Sanremo was Alketa Vejsiu who, as previously reported, was due to arrive in Sanremo on Thursday, February 6, 2020.
