Riccardo Muti and the Hamburg Ballet at Ravena’s Alighieri Theater

The Hamburg Ballet next year will be in Ravenna. As the Italian news agency ANSA announces, in the direction of the orchestra will be the prominent conductor Riccardo Muti. The sale of tickets started on December 22 for this 30th edition of the Festival. At the piano will be a pianist known as Maurizio Pollini. The latest concert in “Scala” this year’s duets of renowned musicians have been held in 2004. Riccardo Muti will lead the Youth Orchestra Luigi Cherubini and the piano will be Maurizio Pollini. They will hold the opening concert on July 5 at PalaDeAndré. But next year, Hamburg Ballett, who has artistic director John Neumeier, will hold 3 dates in Italy. Muti will direct the opening of the Ravenas concert and the concert of July 9th from Ben Harper’s tour. The Hamburg Ballet has chosen Raven as the only Italian stage and on July 5 and 6 will be at the Alighieri Theater where he will present three choreographers holding the signature of its artistic director John Neumeier. Neumeier in the coming year celebrates the 80th anniversary. The pieces that will be interpreted include: Beethoven Fragments, Birthday Dances with Bernstein’s music and Ruckert-Lieder with Mahler’s music. Ben Harper, a writer who is capable of tackling topics and genres, will be on stage on July 9 at the PalaDeAndré stage.
