The Albanian pianist Elona Muca participated at the “Dorothy Taubman” Festival
Last month on June 22nd at 8 pm at the Leshowitz concert hall at Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ took place a piano concert. This evening was part of the Dorothy Taubman three day seminar and piano festival. The organizers and artistic leaders of this yearly event are Dr. David Witten and Professor Sondra Tammam. The Albanian pianist Elona Muca living and concertizing in USA, performed works by E. Granados and E. Nazareth. Last year when she was invited to this event among other works Elona performed “Ballade” by the Albanian composer Kozma Lara, which was welcomed by the many attendees. Last year, on June 2017 at the same venue, Elona Muca as the organizer, together with many other Albanian and foreign musicians organized a concert to help raise awareness and educate children of Kosovo and Albania on the dangers of food allergies. Some of these performers were Elona Muca, Riad Ymeri-tenor, Klajdi Cerriku-accordion, Steven Michel-baritone, Yuka Yanagi and Yun-hee Kim- piano.
