Philip Glass”Perpetulum” premiere in Milano

The European premiere of Philip Glass “Perpetulum” work was produced a few days ago. This is also his first percussion work. Glass is perhaps the best-known contemporary songwriter, and when a piece comes out it’s like a new movie by Steven Spielberg. This also explained the high public interest in attending the Third Coast Percussion percussion concert at the Elfo Puccini Theater in Milan, which performed the European premiere of “Perpetuum”. This work was commissioned by the MiTo festival and several other institutions. It was a surprise to the audience that the full interpretation of the work was full of ideas but also the quartet’s interpretation of another work of Glass (Madeira) but also of works by other authors such as Steve Reich, Devonté Hynes and Gavin Bryars. The work was then interpreted in Turin to attend the Barbican Center in London.Glass premiere in Milan
