Choir “Siparantum” from Peja city concerts in Belgium
Good news are coming from Peja. The well-known choir of this city will represent Kosovo at the Festival expected to be held next month in Belgium.
The “Siparantum” choir from the city of Peja will participate in the 15th edition of the Flanders International Biennale. This event will be held in Belgium in early October, at the C-Mine Cultural Center from 4-6 October in Ghent.
Different countries like Belgium, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Hungary, etc. will participate in this festival.
The choir from Kosovo will be presented in the category of mixed choirs with a program of world-renowned and Albanian composers. “Siparantum” will also be featured at the festival with the work of renowned composer Jan Van Der Roost, the premiere work written for the festival.
The festival will open with the famous vocal ensemble: “The Kings Singers”.
On October 7 at 8pm in Brussels, the “Siparantum” choir will perform at the “Church of the Abbey of Notre Dame de la Cambre” in Brussels. In this concert, the choir from Kosovo will present works by world renowned composers Bennet, Josquin Des Prez, Rheinberger, Whitacre, Geilo and others. and famous Albanian composers, Kasapolli, Rudi, Kelmendi etc.
Choir conductor Memli Kelmendi and choir leader Fatmir Bajraktari invite all compatriots living in these areas to join in these activities.
For the first time, Kosovo is represented at this festival.
The XV edition of “Biennial International Choir Contest Flanders” is organized by VZW International Choir Contest Flanders (Belgium).
