Concert of RTSH Symphony Orchestra

On Friday November 8-th, 2019 returns to the RTSH Symphony Orchestra (Honor of the Nation)  will hold the upcoming concert.

 

This time the conductor will be Bulgarian Delyana Lazarova.

 

The Bulgarian conductor is known in Albania after winning the first prize at the International Conductor Competition held in Tirana in March.

 

Lazarova awon the first edition of the “NRTA Conduction Competition” a highly competitive competition from around the world.

 

During the rehearsal at the Opusalb University of the Arts Hall, he also had a conversation with the organizer of this competition Davide Ciccheti. According to him “participation in this edition was extraordinary almost 200 requests from which we selected 75 conductors after having a fixed number, 73 of them came here from 34 different countries of the world.”

 

This evening’s soloist will be a young and very gifted  instrumentalist, the cello player Joel Blido.

 

For the cellist who lives in Germany this concert marks a return to the Albanian scene after he has performed before. Joel, meanwhile, is the winner of many awards at music competitions.

 

Two years ago, in August 2017 he was honored by the Chigiana Academy with a degree of merit awarded precisely for his musical dedication.

 

The following Friday’s concert program will include:

– Frederick Delius – On hearing the first cuckoo in Spring

– Edward Elgar – Concerto for cello in mi minor, Op. 85

– P. I. Tchaikovsky – Symphony Nr. 5, in mi minor, Op. 64

 

The concert will take place at Iliria Hall, Hotel Mak Albania (formerly Sheraton).
