The famous “Nirvana” single reaches a billion views
Recently the famous rock songs “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen and “November Rain” by Guns N ‘Roses have reached 1 billion viewers in Youtube. Still there is another famous song has reached this number. It is the Nirvana “Smells Like Teen Spirit” single.
Bassist and Nirvana band co-founder Krist Novoselic posted a thank you message on Twitter after posting on December 19 that 1 billion views on YouTube would be an homage to Kurt Cobain, the band’s soloist.
Together they founded the band, along with Aaron Burckhard in 1987 in Aberdeen, Washington.
The video clip is the second most watched in the 1990s after Guns N ‘Roses’ November Rain. Last year alone, the clip averaged 450,000 a day, bringing it to 730 million views in 2019. Of these, 150 million come from the US, 70 million from Brazil, and 64 million from Mexico. Next is France with 31 million and the UK with 26 million.
