“J.Sibelius Finlandia” by Apocalyptica & Lauri Porra
“Apocalyptica” continues to launch parts that celebrate the 100th anniversary of Finland’s independence. This time, musicians have joined forces with Lauri Porra to create the “J.Sibelius Finlandia” part. The clip is extracted from a documentary that has carried out the French channel “ARTE”. This documentary titled “Magical-The Sound of Finlandia” is based on the unique sound of Finnish music and in the preparation that mainstream and underground artists have. Last month “Apocalyptica” launched the melody “The symphony of Extremes” with a video clip that transports Finnish DNA into a visual creation. Consequently, any pied image, frozen forest, was converted into a wireframe in DNA sequences that are specific to the inhabitants of this state. “J.Sibelius Finlandia” includes a landscape from the Karu archipelago, plus snow sequences. “Apocalyptica” has performed a part with bassist Lauri Porra who is known for collaborating with “Stratovarius”. In his country, Porra is famous, being the grandson of Sibelius, a composer whose name holds the most prestigious music university in Finland. The latest album of “Apocalyptica” holds the title “Shadowmaker” and came out in 2015. This album distinguishes the notes of metal symphony, progressive metal and alternative metal. This time, the Nordic people have chosen only one soloist and have not collaborated with other musicians.
