Gëzim Myshketa at the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari
From October 31 until November 10, the renowned opera of Giuseppe Verdi’s “Macbeth” is being performed at the Calgary Lyric Theater in Italy. In four of the dates of this play, Albanian baritone Gëzim Myshketa will play the lead role. From last night until November 9th, respectively November 5th, 7th and 9th he will be on stage at Teatro Lirico di Cagliari In the role of Mrs. Macbeth and baritone Myshketa will be Daniela Schillaci. Theater Choir and orchestra will be conducted by conductor Paolo Arrivabeni. This play is being staged under the directorial concept of Daniele Abaddo. Following the debut role of Wilhelm Tel in the opera of the same title as Rosin, for the Albanian tenor this is a debut again. He considers career as the most difficult but also the most desirable. Meanwhile, in the role of Wilhelm Tell, he will return again at the beginning of the year to perform at other renowned Italian theaters, for example at the Pisa Verdi Theater. This year’s last performance of this opera for Myshketa was on the evening of October 10 at the Bergamo Theater.
Myshketa’s interpretation of Vilhelm Teli’s role did not go unnoticed by the Italian media. The Corriere della sera newspaper in its article on September 28 highly praised his performance on stage.
