Ready for the Depeche Mode: Spirits In The Forest documentary
A movie documentary called “Spirits in the forest” is expected to be released in cinemas around the world. This film is dedicated to the well-known music band “Depeche Mode” and will celebrate with the band fans the influence of the music and concerts they have held. The film will be screened only one night on November 21st in 2400 cinemas around the world from Adelaida to Zagreb in over 70 countries. The documentary brings the thrilling stories of 6 Depeche Mode worshipers and the intimate moments from the band’s touring tour of Berlin’s Waldbühne (“Forest Stage”) with images of fan towns.
The film shows how and why a band’s popularity grew over the course of its career and addresses the tremendous power that music has in creating communities, helping people go through difficult times, and the power it has to create relationships regardless of gender, age, language, state or context.
The film is directed by Anton Corbijn who is a longtime collaborator of the band and a multi-award winning director. The film followed the band’s 2017/2018 tour.
With the “Global Spirit Tour” the band managed to sing in front of more than 3 million fans and gave them 115 concerts.
