The Macedonian Philharmonic celebrates anniversary
Last evening the Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra is celebrating the 73rd anniversary. At the beginning of the concert was presented a short history of this institution, which is also the oldest musical in this country, held by musicologist Marko Kolovski. In the program the orchestra played: prelude for orchestra no. 2 by Macedonian composer Pande Shahov, concerto for violin and orchestra no. 1 by Karl Goldmark, where soloist Lubisha Kirovski interpreted, as well as the symphonic poem “America in Paris” by George Gershwin. Within this anniversary will be opened an exhibition titled “Maestro” dedicated to the most important conductors of Philharmonic. “Happy birthday” Macedonia’s Philharmonic!
