“Europe Shine a Light”, Europe united with Eurovision
The “Europe Shine a Light” final will be held tonight. For the first time in 64 years the Eurovision Song Contest has stopped. Closed borders, difficulty moving and the most watched music event in the world have faced the coronavirus. In this way, the Festival is being held as a television show, under the sign of music that wants to bring Europe together and in homage to the 41 artists who will be in the competition. On Saturday, May 16, when the final evening of the event was scheduled and the winner will be announced, “Europe Shine a Light” will be held. The show will start at 9 p.m. Albania is represented by Arilena Arën and the song “Fall from the sky”. The Albanian singer had everything ready to participate, even the song, which she had translated into English with a new title and the official clip. The corona crisis has blocked her path to the European scene. On Saturday, tonight, VAT will broadcast the show “Europe Shine a Light” at 21.00. Tonight, 9 artists are expected to perform, including DIODATO, the representative of Italy. Just a few days ago, he performed for Albanian followers as part of European Week activities. Go_A and MELOVIN from Ukraine, Imri from Israel, Dami Im from Australia and Yohanna from Iceland and three Eurovision winners over the years are expected tonight: Dana (1970) and Eimear Quinn (1996) from Ireland and Secret Garden (1995) from Norway.
