Famous artists to participate at “Sagra Musicale Malestiana” 2019
The Italian news agency “ANSA” has announced earlier this month the names that are expected to attend the prestigious activity at Rimini’s “Galli” Theater. In the direction of the Young Orchestra Luigi Cherubini will be the famous conductor Riccardo Muti. In the repertoire will be selected pieces from the “Wedding of Figaro” by Mozart. The Festival “Malatestiana Music Festival” will be opened on August 3rd at the “Galli” Theater in Rimini by the distinguished conductor. This is the 70th edition of this festival and is expected to be an activity with renowned names such as: Sir Simon Rattle, the successor of Claudio Abbado on the Berliner Philharmoniker podium, led by the London Symphony Orchestra with a stretching program from the Hungarian Brams’ Dances at Rahmaninov’s Second Symphony. The Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra is hosted by Lahav Shani with Petrushka and Stravinsky and Ravel’s “La Valse”, as well as the violin concerto in Bruch with the protagonist Vilde Frange. Among others on the podium will be Jordi Savall who will perform the Beethoven Third and Fifth Symphony and Venezuelan master Gustave Dudamel with a program focused on Second Symphony of Shubert and Second of Brahms.
