“Classical” Albanian and Czech Music” in Prague
In the framework of the Nationwide Year of Skënderbeu in the baroque hall of the Italian Cultural Institute in Prague, the Embassy of the Republic of Albania organized the concert “Classical” Albanian and Czech Music “. As announced on the official website of the Embassy, in this tenor program Pilzen Opera soloist Daniel Matousek performed the Albanian opera operas of Skënderbeu “The Great Kastriot is Coming” and Lekë Dukagjini’s arias “My Heart boils like a boiling water” from opera “Skënderbeu” of Prenkë Jakova. Mezzo-soprano soloist of Prague National Opera’s National Theater, Michaela Capustova interpreted the aria of Lokes from the opera “Toka Jonë by composer Pjeter Gaci. Tenant performances Matousek and mezzosoprano Capustova were accompanied on violoncello by the solo concert of the Prague National Theater Orchestra Bledar Zajmi and piano by pianist-pianist Egli Prifti. It was the first and unrepeatable time that these arias were performed by soloists of the Czech National Opera Theater in Albanian, making a stunning presentation that drew the attention of the spectators who had completely filled the concert hall. In the opening speech Ambassador, Riza Poda among other things said that organizing the concert within Skënderbeu’s year proves that traditional cultural ties between our two countries are alive and in constant development.
