ALBANIA KAMERFEST to perform “3 Brahms sonatas”
This is a jubilee edition for the KOSOVA KAMERFEST International Chamber Music Festival. On its 20th anniversary, the Festival has been extended to both Skopje and Tirana.
Last evening in “Aleks Buda” Hall of the Academy of Sciences in Tirana it took place the concert “Transatlantic Beauty” Europe and America through song “. It brought a bouquet of songs from European and American composers.
To perform there were the well-known American artists: the soprano Caterine Wethington and the renowned pianist Derek Han.
In the first part of the program, to accompany was the flutist from Kosovo Zanë Abazi.
This instrumentalist is one of the finalists of the “ARSKosova” competition and last night was her first appearance in Tirana. This is a testimony of the cooperation between artistic experiences that KAMERFEST provides.
Last evening the concert was enthusiastically welcomed. The artists performed pieces by: Hendel, Delibes, David, Benedict, etc. The concert, named “Europe and America through songs”, was warmly applauded with many standing ovations. The audience showed warmth and appreciation for the soprano Wethington.
This was her first time in Albania and at the end of the concert she expressed her gratitude and joy for this concert.
Tonight, on October 11, in the “Aleks Buda” Hall, in the framework of KAMERFEST it will be held the concert of the famous violinist from Prishtina Sihana Badivuku and of the distinguished American pianist Derek Han. Tonight’s concert will start at 8pm.
The audience in the hall will attend the three sonatas of Johannes Brahms’s for piano and violin. The concert is called “3 Brahms Sonatas” and reflects the creativity of the last period of the author’s life. This creativity is characterized by romantic accents rooted in enduring classical structures. However, these sonatas have different measures of variation. The concert is highly awaited, especially when it comes to the artists that are going to perform. The opening concert of the KAMERFEST Festival was held at the New University Library in Pristina on September 17th.The closing concert of this edition of the Festival will take place at the Youth Hall in the Red Hall on November 16.The artistic director of this prestigious event is the well-known Kosovo violinist Sihana Badivuku.
