Markelian Kapidani presents “Notes for the Musician” book in Tirana
The “Musician’s Notes” by author Markelian Kapidani has been presented to the public in Tirana. The event was held on September 3, 2019 in the premises of the Academy of Sciences of Albania.
The book was presented as part of the activities of the Youth Academy for 2019-2020 with the support of the Albanian Academy of Sciences.
The author of the book, Markelian Kapidani (composer / pianist), Mikaela Minga (Youth Academy – Albanian Academy of Sciences / Institute of Cultural Anthropology and Art Studies) and Florian Jakaj, President of the Cultural Association “Rrok Jakaj” and director of “Shkodra Jazz” Festival.
Markelian Kapidan’s “Notes for the Musician” brings to light one of the first theoretical contributions in Albanian on jazz music and is the result of Kapidan’s long experience in the jazz world
From the theoretical and practical aspects of jazz music to processes related to both improvisation / creativity and interpretation; as well as the intrinsic principles of organizing this music, combined with listening experiences.
Since the 17th of August when the master classes in jazz, classical and accordion disciplines started and from the 22nd of August until the 1st of September this year the Xth edition of “Shkodra Jazz Festival” has been held.
Markelian Kapidani is one of the organizers taking care of the “Shkodra Jazz Festival”. This year the X edition was held, the one that has just finished on the 1st of this month.
From the 17th of August when the master classes in jazz, classical and accordion disciplines started and from 22nd of August until the 1st of September when the concerts continued, this year the X edition of this activity has been held.
