In three rounds, the Jury of the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA) has chosen the releases competing in the finals for the awards 2021. The initial list with a total of 365 nominations has been reduced to three releases per category, the finalists for 2021. ICMA President Remy Franck says: « With a big number of releases nominated by over fifty percent of the jurors, we could see that the highest quality pays off and steers the jury from the beginning in a common direction. Subsequently, recordings initially selected by a great number of jury members had a brilliant track record through all rounds. Now, one of the finalists of each category will be inducted in ICMA’s Hall of fame reuniting all the winners from the past 10 years. »
The names of the winners who will receive their trophy in Vaduz, Liechtenstein on 18 April 2021, will be published on Wednesday 20 January 2021.
