Enescu Festival, over 8,000 tickets sold out in just 45 minutes!
As announced at the official website of the International Festival “George Enescu” over 8,000 tickets were sold in the first 45 minutes. With an average of 182 tickets sold per minute, this Festival marks a real record: the highest number of tickets sold on the first day of exit. Tickets for 18 concerts from the “Recital and Chamber Music Concerts” series held at “Ateneum” and tickets for 8 concerts from the series of “Great World Orchestras” to be held in “Sala Palatului” are fully sold. Tickets for this edition went on sale at 12 o’clock on March 6 and after a fierce first wave, requests continued to be demanded during the day as long as at 17:00 hours it reached 27 tickets per minute. The record of sales with the purchase of all tickets in just a few minutes is held by the opening concert of the Festival that will bring to the public the famous Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra that will be followed by the Orchestra of Monte Carlo under the direction of Maxim Vengerov with soloist bass -Barbitonin Sir Bryn Terfel, followed by the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, with soloist legendary pianist Mitsuko Uchida. The London Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Concertgebouë Orchestra and Staatskapelle Dresden concerts, the Vienna Orchestra Concert, the Basel Orchestra, the Salzburg Camerata, and the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra concert with Elisabeth Leonska .
