About the Opusalb Awards at the Jorgjia Truja Festival
The whole world of art is a long hard, tiring marathon, where most remain left behind and only a few arrive first. Maybe because of their mood up to date, maybe because of adaptation, but more often it is because of an inappropriate work. Compared to this marathon, the true artist ever lower his head, never lose faith in himself, never feels exhausted. Instead he increases self-confidence, works more staying over the moment judgment.
Only by this way a true artist achieve what his aims are. Based on this principle no one can be called a loser in a vocal competition like the well-known one, “Jorgjia Truja”, that came to an end this evening. Opusalb was invited to award two Achievements of Music Criticism and our principle, being the first online magazine awards tried to do the best. We awarded two students: Anastasia Skënderi, which in our opinion had a promising voice, high artistic sensibility, perfect intonation, good diction and a vocal technique. These will make her move forward in the difficult path of art. The other student awarded by Opusalb online magazine is Sonila Kurti with a sensible vocal maturity, good stage performance and promising voice. We were in a dilemma among other competing names, like: Artur Vera, Anjeza Marku, Klejdi Qose, Matias Xheli, Diego Zelka, or Estelina Syla, who had special elements perhaps even more developed in their vocal figure but we they still need to work more on them.
It is important that everyone should learn not the reason why they did not win, but how to benefit from the vocal and stage qualities of their peers and friends. This will help them finding the way into success. For all these reasons, the Nationwide Young Festival Voices”Jorgjia Truja” was and is an extremely valuable experience to stimulate a significant generation of our future singers. The public interest was high and the Festival visibility was quiet good. For this we should thank the Director of this Festival, Ms. Klodi Zheji, but especially the silent promoter of this festival, the tireless and wise woman, Takuina Truja, who, as she has worked all her life in piano teaching, continues to give opportunities to young artists, at the same time becoming a fine example for them.
