Endri Nini the Artistic Director of the Chamber Music Festival of the University of Music and Drama Rostock

Endri Nini is both an acclaimed pianist and chamber musician, who has been awarded top prizes in competitionssuch as the Concours International de Piano „Ile de France”in Paris, Premio „Trio di Trieste”in Trieste and the international chamber music competition Kiejstut Bacewicz in Łódź. Born in 1984 in Albania, he studied with Anita Tartari in Tirana, SontraudSpeidel in Karlsruhe, Kevin Kenner in London and Bernd Goetzke in Hanover. Endri alsoreceived influentialmusical guidanceby Stephen Kovacevich, Aldo Ciccolini and Andras Schiff. He completed his Chamber Music studies with Markus Becker and Oliver Willein Hannover. He has been the beneficiary of scholarships by Foundations such as DAAD, Villa Musica, Alfred-Töpfer Stiftung and the Solti Foundation in the United Kingdom.Asa chamber musician hehas performedwith musicians of high calibre such as Albrecht Mayer, Sabine Meyer, Daniel Rowland, Gustav Rivinius, Elsbeth Moser and Wolfgang Güttler,while numerous solo concerts and appearances in chamber music ensembles have broughthim in important venues throughout Germany, Europe and China. From 2012 until 2018 Endri was afounding member andpianist of Flex Ensemble with whom he won several topprizes atprestigiousinternational chamber music competitions such as the first prize at the International Robert Schumann chamber music competition in Frankfurt and the first prize at the Gianni Bergamo ClassicalMusic Award in Lugano. With Flex Ensemble he has performedin venues such as the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, the Alte Oper Frankfurt, the Beijing Performing Arts Center and the Meistersingerhalle Nürnberg.As a soloist he has performedwith the Baden-Baden Philharmonic Orchestra, the Symphonic Orchestra of the Albanian Radio and Television, the Karlsruhe Chamber Orchestra and the Tirana Chamber Orchestra.His recordings include two CDswithFlex Ensemble „The Arrival of Night”and „Au Suivant!”(formusic labels Genuin and Avi) as well as recordings for radios like SWR, NDR, Radio Tirana, Radio 4 Amsterdam and Radio Semnoz in France.He also appearedin Festivals such the Sommerliche Musiktage Hitzacker, Heidelberger Frühling, the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommen, Annecy Festival, Prussia Cove, International Music Festival Goslar, the Pristina International Music Festival, Allegretto Albania and the Podium Festival Esslingen.Endri also frequently curatesmultidisciplinary concert formats asan effectiveway ofbringingtogether different audiences and music. Since2014 he has been regularlycreatingprogrammes and performingat eventswith musicians, dancers, actors and visual artists at the Chamber Music Fest Rheinhesen, the concert series imPULS in Hanover as well as the Project „Wunderkind”in Albania.

For the 2020/21 season he is the Artistic Director of the Chamber Music Festival of the University of Music and Drama Rostock, which is going to take place under the motto „Happy Birthday Mr. Beethoven!”,while further concert engagements and masterclasses will bring him in Finland and Albania.Endri Nini is also a passionate chamber music educator and teaches at the University of Music and Drama in Rostock as well as the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki.
