20-th anniversary of “Grupo Instrumental Siglo XX”
“Grupo Instrumental Siglo XX” was formed in September 1996 and their first concert was on April 8, 1997 at Teatro Rosalia de Castro in Coruna, Spain. The group program consists on the presentation of the works of outstanding authors of the 20th century such as Poulenc, Milhaud, Barber, Xenakis and Stravinsky. “This program was our artistic manifest,” writes Vlashi. The well-known Spanish musicologist Xoan Carreira wrote on the display of the first manifestation that: “The interpretation of Stravinsky’s Soldier’s Story at our Rosalia Theater by this group of musicians is a fact of great importance in the music history of our city “.
This group performance should sound better in the ears of the organizers in our music events too.
Florian Vlashi, who successfully organizes a Festival in his hometown of Durres in his concert program in these 20 years of activity, already has important experience and success from many countries around the world.
